UAH Drops Series Finale to Bemidji State on Friday Night

HUNTSVILLE | The University of Alabama in Huntsville hockey team dropped the Western Collegiate Hockey Association series finale by a score of 4-3 to visiting Bemidji State on Friday night at the Von Braun Center. UAH dips to 1-18-3 (1-12-3 WCHA), while BSU improves to 12-7-3 (12-3-1 WCHA).
 
Turning Point
- Bemidji State scored back-to-back unanswered goals in the final 10 minutes of the third period as the Beavers went on to take the finale 4-3 on Friday.
 
Scoring Breakdown
- After 16 scoreless minutes, Bemidji State broke through with a goal by Sam Solensky at 16:34 to take a 1-0 advantage.
- UAH evened the contest at 1-1 with just 0.7 remaining in the first period, as Josh Latta jabbed in the game-tying goal on the power play in front of the crease after a shot by Austin Beaulieu. Both Beaulieu and Dayne Finnson notched assists on the goal.
- BSU regained the lead late in the second period at 19:21 of the frame with a tally by Combs for a 2-1 advantage.
