HUNTSVILLE | The No. 13 University of Alabama in Huntsville men's basketball team dropped a road contest on Saturday, falling 65-60 to host Lee. The Chargers fall to 13-3 (5-3 Gulf South Conference), while the Flames improve to 12-3 (7-1 GSC).

Turning Point
-Lee opened the second half on a 19-2 run over nearly six minutes to build up what would prove to be an insurmountable 24-point lead despite a strong push in the late minutes from the Chargers.

Max Shulman led the Chargers, nearly recording a double-double as the redshirt sophomore went 6-for-9 from the floor to score 15 to go along with a team-high nine rebounds.

Sam Orf scored 10 to give UAH three that reached double figures on Saturday.
-UAH shot 48.4 percent in the second half, a significant improvement over a 26.9 percent mark in the first 20 minutes resulting in a 38.6 shooting percentage for the game.

-The Chargers committed 13 turnovers and forced the Flames into 19, but the home team built up a key 20-15 difference in points off giveaways.

-The first half was a defensive struggle with the two teams combining for just 24 points in the first 10 minutes with the Flames building up a 14-10 lead before the Chargers would pull into a pair of ties at both 14-14 and 17-17.
-Lee would then outscore UAH 13-6 in the remaining minutes of the first half to take a 30-23 lead into the locker room at the break.
-The strong push to start the second half for Lee gave the Flames a 24-point advantage twice, including at 51-27 with 11:44 remaining.
-After UAH narrowed the gap to 17, the Flames would go back in front by 23 with 9:08 on the clock, but a 14-2 run for the Chargers over the next five minutes cut the deficit to just 11 at 58-47.
-The guests then pulled within single digits in the final minute, but the Flames went 7-of-9 from the charity strip in the waning moments to hang on for the win.

Noteworthy
-Shulman is second on the team in rebounding with 5.1 rebounds per game after matching his career high with nine which he also had against Tennessee Wesleyan in UAH's first game out of the Christmas break.
-Shulman made his team-leading 50th 3-point field goal of the season on Saturday.
