HUNTSVILLE | The University of Alabama in Huntsville women's basketball team picking up a big conference win on Thursday, knocking off visiting Delta State by a final score of 55-51 at Kelly Court at Spragins Hall. UAH improves to 8-8 (5-5 Gulf South Conference) with the win, while DSU dips to 14-3 (7-3 GSC).

-With the game tied at 48-48 with 6:08 remaining in the contest, the Chargers would use a smothering defensive effort to hold the visitors to just one more field goal the rest of the way to seal the victory.

-Aryn Sanders led the Chargers offense with a 24-point performance on 10-of-17 shooting from the floor that included a 2-for-3 mark on three-pointers.
-Sanders also posted a game-high four steals while grabbing four rebounds to rank tied for third on the squad.
-Holly Harris contributed a double-double with 12 points and a team-best 11 rebounds.
-Harris additionally tied for the team lead with three assists and rated second on the squad with two steals.
