MARIE, Mich. | The University of Alabama in Huntsville hockey team made history on Friday night with the program's first-ever scoreless tie in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association series opener against Lake Superior State at Taffy Abel Arena. UAH moves to 2-21-6 (2-17-6 WCHA), while LSSU is now 9-20-4 (7-12-4).

- Both sides went scoreless through the initial three periods and the ensuing overtime period to bring the game to the official 0-0 final, but LSSU grabbed the extra WCHA point in shootouts after a scoreless 3-on-3 overtime.
