UAH Falls at Lake Superior State on Saturday

Box Score SAULT STE. MARIE, ONTARIO | The University of Alabama in Huntsville hockey team fell to Lake Superior State by a final score of 4-1 on Saturday night at GFL Memorial Gardens in the first NCAA Division I hockey game above the border since 2011. UAH dips to 2-22-6 (2-16-6 WCHA), while LSSU improves to 10-20-4 (8-12-4 WCHA).

- Lake Superior State scored three goals in the second period on the way to the 4-1 win over UAH on Saturday.
 
Scoring Breakdown
- After a scoreless first period, Lake Superior State scored three goals in the second by Ashton Calder at 10:59, Jacob Nordqvist at 12:58 and Brayden Gelsinger at 13:28.
- The Lakers added one goal at 4:11 of the third by Will Riedell, before Tanner Hickey's marker at 18:44 brought the game to its 4-1 final.

- Mark Sinclair took the loss in goal, after making 29 saves in the contest.
- UAH accrued 25 shots on goal, led by Hickey with five shots on target.
