UAH Cruises to 22-3 Victory at Oklahoma Baptist

SHAWNEE, Okla. | The University of Alabama in Huntsville women's lacrosse team cruised to a 22-3 victory over Oklahoma Baptist on Saturday afternoon in nonconference action. UAH improves to 4-2, while OKBU dips to 0-3.
 
Turning Point
- The Chargers opened up the first 15 minutes with a streak of five unanswered goals as UAH did not look back in the 22-3 win on Saturday.
 
Inside the Box Score
- Karissa Glover led the Chargers offense overall in the victory with six points on three goals and a team-best three assists while adding one caused turnover and one draw control.
- Hailey Gallant and Katie Gerber each had a team-high five goals to rank second on the roster with five points.
- Cara Brown (3g-0a), Savanna Robbins (2g-1a) and Sophia Fiorino (2g-1a) all had three points on the day to rank tied for fourth on the team.
- Katie Gerber grabbed a roster-best five draw controls, followed by Sara Pagotto with three and Hailey Gallant with two.
- Pagotto and Anna Grace Shepherd tied for the team lead in ground balls with two each.
- Shaina Doser played the majority of time in goal with five saves and two goals to earn the win.
- Leslie Allen Brown and Emma Gould combined for one goal allowed in the second half in the cage.
- UAH held the edge in draw controls (13-12) and shots on goal (30-10).
 
Inside the Flow
- Five different Chargers scored in the first 15 minutes of play, before a tally by OKBU cut the UAH lead to 5-1.
- UAH went on to add seven unanswered goals in the latter half of the period prior to a late marker by Oklahoma Baptist made it 12-2 at the half.
- The Chargers compiled rallies of 4-0 and 6-0 to wrap up the second half and the 22-3 win on Saturday.

- This is the Chargers first time UAH has scored 20 or more goals in back-to-back games this season.
- UAH has won four games in a row dating back to Feb. 8 against Palm Beach Atlantic.
- Gerber's scored five goals in two straight games.
