MONTEVALLO, Ala. | The University of Alabama in Huntsville women's basketball team fell on the road on Thursday night, dropping a 71-65 decision to host Montevallo. The Chargers slip to 17-10 (12-7 Gulf South Conference) with the setback, while UM improves to 18-9 (12-7 GSC).

Turning Point
-After the Chargers took a 65-64 lead with just under a minute remaining, the hosts would grab a pair of key defensive rebounds and go 5-for-5 at the charity stripe en route to picking up the win.

Holly Harris led the Chargers in the contest as she knocked down a pair of 3-pointers on her way to scoring 17 while also grabbing eight rebounds.Â
-Joining Harris in double figures was
Aryn Sanders who scored 13.
-Nearly recording a double-double,
Alexis Woods finished the night with a team-high 12 rebounds while scoring eight by going 4-for-6 from the floor.Â
-For the contest, the Chargers shot 41.7 percent while limiting Montevallo to a 40.7 percent shooting mark.Â
-The Falcons were 21-of-24 from the foul line, while UAH went 8-for-14.

-The first quarter featured four lead changes, but Montevallo would use a strong finish to the quarter to take a 21-15 advantage into the second frame.
-The lead expanded to nine early in the second for the Falcons, but an 11-1 run for the Chargers in the middle minutes of the period turned the deficit into a 30-29 lead with 1:27 left in the quarter after a Harris triple, and after UM briefly regained the lead,
Emme Willoughby hit a 3-pointer of her own followed by a Sanders layup to make it a 35-32 lead for the guests at the half.
-UAH quickly pushed the lead out to seven early in the third and would lead for the entirety of the period, but the Falcons narrowed the gap to just one at 53-52 going into the fourth.
-The Falcons took the lead just 48 seconds into the fourth, and they would hold that advantage until the final minute of the period but never by any larger of a margin than three, allowing the layup from Woods with 58 seconds to go pull UAH in front before the hosts snuck back out in front to earn the win.

-Harris has reached double figures in five straight and 19 times overall, and she is now averaging 12.5 points per contest.
-Woods has become a rebounding machine of late, reaching double figures on the glass in five of the team's past six games and is averaging 12.2 rebounds per contest during that stretch.
-This is the 20th game in double figures for Sanders on the season.
