UAH Slips in Series FInale at Newberry

NEWBERRY, S.C. | The University of Alabama in Huntsville baseball team fell 7-2 on Sunday afternoon at No. 15 Newberry in the nonconference series finale. UAH dips to 3-3, while NC improves to 7-0.
 
Game-Changer
- The Wolves put together a key four-run fourth inning to take a 5-1 lead on the way to topping the Chargers 7-2 on Sunday afternoon.
 
Scoring Breakdown
- UAH was on the board first in the top of the first as Garrett Bodine scored on a ground out.
- Newberry knotted the game at 1-1 in the third before a four-run rally in the fourth gave the hosts a 5-1 lead.
- The Wolves added two runs in the sixth to extend the lead to 7-2, before one Chargers run in the top of the ninth brought the game to its 7-2 final score.
 
Inside the Box Score
- Two Chargers registered multi-hit performances, including Tyler McCown and Colin Brewer with two hits apiece.
- Both of Brewer's base hits were doubles.
- Bodine finished with a 1-for-4 performance at the plate with one run and one RBI.
- Four different UAH players had one walk, counting Brewer, Palmer Ford, Zach Duvall and Drake Hollingsworth.
- Harper Case took the loss in his start on the mound, turning in 3.1 innings with four earned runs allowed and two strikeouts.
