BIRMINGHAM, Ala. | The Gulf South Conference unveiled the 2020 GSC Spring All-Academic Teams and the GSC Academic Honor Roll on Wednesday, and The University of Alabama in Huntsville was represented by nine GSC All-Academic honorees and 68 GSC Honor Roll recipients.
 
UAH's nine GSC All-Academic squad members are the most by the department's spring sports since 2006.
 
Women's lacrosse registered a program-record four GSC All-Academic Team honorees, including Katie Gerber (nursing, 4.0), Karissa Glover (elementary education, 3.53), Shannon Kruse (marketing, 4.0), and Kinta Schott (kinesiology, 3.51). Both Kruse and Schott garnered their second career GSC All-Academic selection.
 
Baseball was represented by a pair of first-time GSC All-Academic awardees in Palmer Ford (biological sciences, 4.0) and Tyler McCown (mechanical engineering, 3.63).
 
Men's tennis also received a pair of honorees on the GSC All-Academic squad as Timo Christen (chemistry, 3.92) and Sebastian Rohrbach (finance, 4.0) both collected the distinction. Christen has earned the honor twice in his career.
 
Softball's Ashley Cornell (kinesiology, 3.37) rounded out the Chargers GSC All-Academic honorees.
 
The GSC All-Academic Teams are comprised of student-athletes with at least a 3.20 GPA while also being a starter or significant contributor athletically.
 
The GSC Honor Roll recognizes all student-athletes who competed and have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.00.
