HUNTSVILLE | The University of Alabama in Huntsville volleyball team cruised to a 3-0 win (25-13, 25-17, 25-19) over West Georgia at Kelly Court at Spragins Hall on Friday night in Gulf South Conference action. UAH improves to 16-7 (8-2 GSC), while UWG slips to 11-13 (5-6 GSC).

The Chargers offense featured a balance attack with six players accumulating at least four kills against the Wolves, led by
Molly Presnell with a team-high eight kills on a .292 hitting percentage.

Paris Morris rated second to Presnell with seven kills on offense, while posting a team-leading .583 hitting percentage.

Defensively,
Shayla Libby boasted a roster-best nine digs followed by Presnell with eight scoops as she nearly notched a double-double.

Sabrina Duncan had a strong all-around performance as well with five kills on a .385 hitting percentage in addition to 21 assists, two service aces and five digs.

The Chargers defense dominated the first two sets to put UAH ahead 2-0 with wins of 25-13 and 25-17 in the first and second sets, respectively, as the squad held UWG to negative hitting percentages in both frames.

UAH had its strongest attacking performance in the third set with 13 kills on a .216 hitting percentage to help the squad to the match-clinching 25-19 win in the third.

UAH looks ahead to a 1 p.m. matchup on Saturday against Valdosta State at Spragins Hall to wrap up the week's slate.
