HUNTSVILLE | The University of Alabama in Huntsville volleyball team was ranked No. 6 in this week's updated NCAA South Region rankings released on Wednesday afternoon.
 
The Chargers were initially ranked fourth in the South Region last week, as the ratings shifted over with UAH's loss to wrap up the weekend on Saturday at Montevallo.
 
West Florida maintained its post atop the regional rankings, followed by Sunshine State Conference members Tampa in second, Embry-Riddle in third, Nova Southeastern in fourth, and Lynn in fifth. UAH, Palm Beach Atlantic and Florida Southern round out the top eight in the rankings.
 
UAH – who is currently 19-8 overall – has been selected to compete in an NCAA regional tournament six times in program history, with the last appearance coming in 2019 as the seventh seed.
 
The Blue & White look ahead to the final matches of the 2021 regular season this Friday against Mississippi College and Saturday against West Alabama at Kelly Court at Spragins Hall.
