ROME, Ga. | A last-minute equalizer helped The University of Alabama in Huntsville men's soccer team open the 2021 Spring Championship Series with a 1-1 tie at Shorter on Friday night. Both teams start the year at 0-0-1.
 
Turning Points
-The contest was scoreless through the first 78 minutes until Herman Saldana scored in the 79th to put the Hawks up 1-0.
-Shorter seemed destined to win the game, but in the final minute of regulation, Shalev Keter scored his first as a Charger from Rafa Moreno to knot the game at 1-1 and force overtime.
-In the two extra periods, Giancarlo Martinez faced the only shot on goal by either side, recording a save in the 105th to help preserve the draw.
 
Inside the Box Score
-The Hawks outshot UAH by a slim 8-7 margin on the night, including a 4-2 edge in attempts that were on target.
-Both Keter and Vicente Arratia recorded a team-best pair of shots, and both had one that was on goal.

-This is the seventh career goal for Keter as he had registered six in his first two seasons at Anderson before he transferred to the Rocket City.
-Moreno earns his third assist as a Charger.
