ROME, Ga. | A last-minute equalizer helped The University of Alabama in Huntsville men's soccer team open the 2021 Spring Championship Series with a 1-1 tie at Shorter on Friday night. Both teams start the year at 0-0-1.

Turning Points
-The contest was scoreless through the first 78 minutes until Herman Saldana scored in the 79th to put the Hawks up 1-0.
-Shorter seemed destined to win the game, but in the final minute of regulation,
Shalev Keter scored his first as a Charger from
Rafa Moreno to knot the game at 1-1 and force overtime.
-In the two extra periods,
Giancarlo Martinez faced the only shot on goal by either side, recording a save in the 105th to help preserve the draw.
