HUNTSVILLE | The University of Alabama in Huntsville women's basketball team fell on Sunday, dropping a 72-66 decision to visiting Christian Brothers at Kelly Court at Spragins Hall. The Chargers slip to 8-5 (8-5 Gulf South Conference), while CBU improves to 3-6 (3-6 GSC).

-Christian Brothers would thwart UAH's comeback effort, having an answer each time the Chargers pulled within four on three different trips down the floor late in the contest.

-It was another big day for
Alexis Woods as the junior forward scored 24 after going 8-for-11 from the field, and she recorded another double-double as she also grabbed a team-best 13 rebounds.

Sloan Mann was also strong offensively for UAH, going 6-for-122 from the floor overall including three 3-pointers, and she finished the game with 21 points and a team-high three assists.

Holly Harris scored nine to go along with four rebounds, a team-best six steals, and two assists.
-Christian Brothers 48.1 percent for the game while UAH connected on 39.3 percent of its attempts.
-The Bucs outrebounded the Chargers by a 34-29 clip.

-The lead exchanged hands 10 different times in the first quarter with neither team leading by more than four and with CBU carrying a slim 19-18 advantage into the second.
-It was more of the same in the second quarter until after UAH went ahead 31-29 with 2:33 left in the period, the Bucs ripped off 12 straight points to go up 40-31 at halftime.
-The lead would be 10 again 45-35 at the 7:46 mark of the third before
Alexis Woods scored seven of her nine straight points to pull the Chargers within three at 45-42 with 5:54 left in the third.
-Another push for CBU, however, would give the Bucs a 57-46 lead going into the fourth, and that would grow to as many as 12 in the final period.
-The Chargers would cut the margin to just four three different times late in the waning moments, but CBU would hold on for the win. Â

-The 21 points for Mann mark a new personal-best, surpassing her previous career high of 17 which she set against Delta State on Jan. 15 of this year.
-Woods now has nine double-doubles on the season.
