MARQUETTE, Mich. | The University of Alabama in Huntsville hockey team opened up its road trip with a 3-1 win at Northern Michigan on Tuesday afternoon to start off a two-game Western Collegiate Hockey Association series. UAH improves to 3-9-1 (3-4-0 WCHA), while NMU dips to 7-12-0 (5-4-0 WCHA).

-UAH opened the game with three unanswered goals between the first and second period, which helped the Chargers to the 3-1 win on Tuesday.

Tyrone Bronte put the Chargers on the board with a backhanded shot that went past NMU goalie Rico DiMatteo's right shoulder at the 4:32 mark of the first period, as UAH took a 1-0 lead into intermission.
