SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich. | The University of Alabama in Huntsville dropped the Western Collegiate Hockey Association series opener at Lake Superior State by a final score of 2-1 on Friday night at Taffy Abel Arena. UAH dips to 3-11-1 (3-6-0 WCHA), while LSSU improves to 11-4-3 (5-3-0 WCHA).

-After tying the game at 11:15 of the third period, Lake Superior State was provided with a late goal by William Riedell with less than 10 seconds remaining to give the Lakers the 2-1 win on Friday.
