HUNTSVILLE | The University of Alabama in Huntsville baseball team opened up a three-game Gulf South Conference series at Charger Park with a 9-3 loss to Auburn Montgomery on Friday afternoon. UAH dips to 10-11 (9-10 GSC), while AUM improves to 12-9 (10-9 GSC).

Game-Changer
-Backed by an early three-run rally in the top of the first, AUM starting pitcher Micah Henderson tossed 7.0 shutout innings against the Chargers to lead the Warhawks past UAH 9-3.

Garrett Bodine and
Landon Ezzell with two base knocks apiece.

Jeff Hunter drove in all three of the Chargers runs with a three-run home run to right-center in the bottom of the ninth. He also drew a walk in the contest.

Tyler Self started on the mound for the Chargers on Friday, turning in 3.1 innings with four runs allowed and three strikeouts. He dips to 2-4 with the loss.

-Hunter's home run was the first of his career, giving UAH 19 round-trippers as a team.
-Bodine now has a team-high three triples on the season, after not having notched a three-base hit in 2019 or 2020.
