HUNTSVILLE | The No. 25 University of Alabama in Huntsville softball team made it a series win over Auburn Montgomery as the Chargers used the long-ball to earn a 6-4 triumph on Sunday afternoon at Charger Park. UAH improves to 14-7 (9-6 Gulf South Conference), while AUM falls to 16-4 (8-4 GSC).

-With the game tied at 4-4 in the fifth,
Kiara Akles hit her second home run of the game – a two-run blast that would prove to be the game-winner for the Chargers.

-UAH outhit the Warhawks by a 9-7 margin in the game.
-Akles finished the contest with the two home runs and five RBI, while
Ashley Cornell had a pair of hits and scored twice.
-Booker had the team's other RBI in the contest.

Grace O'Berry scattered three hits and gave up just one run in 4.2 innings of relief work to earn the win in the circle, while
Layton Murphy did not allow a hit in the final two innings on her way to picking up the save.

-Auburn Montgomery immediately staked itself to a three-run lead after crossing the plate three times in the top of the first, but Akles would hit a three-run bomb to left in the home half to quickly level the contest at 3-3.
