UAH Drops Quarterfinals Contest to Mississippi College to End SCS

MERIDIAN, Miss. | The University of Alabama in Huntsville women's soccer team saw its Gulf South Conference Spring Championship Series run come to a close on Sunday as Mississippi College used three second-half goals to advance in bracket play. The Chargers end the year at 4-4-1, while MC improves to 6-0-0.
 
Despite being outshot 9-3 in the first 45 minutes, it was the Chargers who held the first lead of the game as Carmen Endicott scored off an assist from Devyn Thompson in just the 10th minute of the game, and that 1-0 lead would hold all the way through the halftime break as Adriana Wright made four stops in the period.
 
Endicott finished the game with a team-high three shots.
 
Emily McNair would score in the 51st to tie the game at 1-1 before Erin Hederman pushed the Choctaws in front in the 67th.
 
Beatrice Currie rounded out the scoring with an 81st-minute goal.
 
In total, Mississippi College outshot UAH by a 26-6 margin including a 15-3 edge in shots on goal as Wright finished the game with an impressive 12 saves to keep her team in it. The Choctaws also earned seven corners while conceding just three to UAH.
 
There were a total of 18 fouls in the game with 12 coming on the Chargers, and there were also two cautions.
