HUNTSVILLE | The University of Alabama in Huntsville men's lacrosse dropped a tight contest on Saturday evening, falling 11-10 to visiting Westminster at Charger Park. The Chargers slip to 2-2 on the season, while the Griffins improve to 2-0.

-The visitors scored the final three goals of the game – each in the last five minutes of the fourth quarter – to erase a two-goal deficit and earn the victory.

Luke LeVette led the Chargers with three goals which he scored off a team-high 10 shots of which five were on target.
-Matching LeVette with a three-point night was
Brody Phillips who scored twice and added an assist.

Joseph Stuber, and
Silas Herman, while
Jack Hendrickson added an assist.

Inside the Flow
-Westminster scored the first two goals of the game and added two more around
Jake LeVette's score to take a 4-1 lead at the 5:51 mark of the opening quarter, but the Chargers would close the period on a strong note with Spuhl scoring before Phillips added a pair to knot the game at 4-4 going into the second.
-The Griffins got the first goal of the second, but the only two scores in the period would come from
Luke LeVette as UAH took a 6-5 into the halftime break.
-Another strong start for the guests put Wesminster up 7-6 at the 6:54 mark of the third quarter, but the Chargers would score three straight with tallies from
Luke LeVette, Herman, and Stuber to go up 9-7 heading into the fourth.
-The first 10 minutes of the fourth saw the teams score one each including Light's strike with 6:17 remaining, but the Griffins then scored three consecutive to end the contest and to claim the 11-10 win.

-Phillips continues to lead the team in points as he as 12 on the season from eight goals and four assists.

Luke LeVette now has seven goals on the year.
-Welsh has ended in double figures in saves in three of the team's four games.

-The Chargers will be back in action on Wednesday when the team travels to Georgia to take on North Greenville in a neutral site contest. That game is slated for a 6 p.m. start.
