UAH Edged in Regular Season Road Finale at Lee

CLEVELAND, Tenn. | The University of Alabama in Huntsville women's lacrosse team fell to Lee on Sunday afternoon in Gulf South Conference action by a final score of 13-12. UAH dips to 9-3 (2-1 GSC), while LU improves to 8-3 (4-0 GSC).
 
Turning Point
-A back-and-forth game throughout, Lee scored with 39 seconds remaining to cushion its lead to two goals as the Flames went on to win by a 13-12 final score on Sunday.
 
Inside the Box Score
-Cara Brown led the Chargers offense with six points on five goals and one assist.
-Katie Gerber, Isabella Springer, and Karissa Glover each scored two goals on the day to rank tied for second on the offense.
-Gerber additionally grabbed a team-high six draw controls.
-Katie Williams generated two points on one goal and one assist.
-Hailey Gallant recorded a roster-best two assists.
-Sara Pagotto was credited with a team-high four ground balls, followed by Riley Kirby with three.
-Kirby and Glover each had one caused turnover.
-Shaina Doser played the majority of time in goal for the Chargers with nine saves and 11 goals allowed.
UAH held the edge in shots on goal (26-22) and ground balls (11-6).
 
Noteworthy
-This was UAH's first loss to Lee in eight meetings all-time.
-Brown now has 64 goals on the season, which ranks fifth in a single season in program history.
-Gallant's two assists give her 42 assists on the year to go along with 42 goals for 84 points this season, which rates fourth in program history in a single season.
