HUNTSVILLE | The University of Alabama in Huntsville women's lacrosse team opened up its 2021 home schedule on Friday night at Charger Park with a 16-7 win over rival Young Harris in a Gulf South Conference matchup. UAH improves to 9-2 (2-0 GSC), while YHC dips to 4-6 (1-2 GSC).

-The Chargers turned in a 5-2 lead through a defensive-heavy first half, as the squad would not relinquish the lead on the way to the 16-7 win on Friday night.
 
Inside the Box Score
-Hailey Gallant led the offense overall with seven points on five goals and two assists, as she also added one ground ball and one caused turnover.
-Cara Brown scored a team-high six goals to rank second on the roster with six points.
-Katie Gerber posted four points on two goals and two assists, while leading the team with five ground balls and five draw controls.
-Bryanna Hamblin finished second to Gerber with four draw controls.
-Savanna Robbins rated second on the squad with four ground balls, followed by Sara Pagotto, Darby Smith and Riley Kirby with three apiece.
