EVANSVILLE, Ind. | The University of Alabama in Huntsville volleyball team wrapped up play at the Southern Indiana Invitational on Saturday with a 3-1 loss (23-25, 25-21, 22-25, 14-25) to Missouri-St. Louis. UAH slips to 3-4, while UMSL improves to 3-3.

Junior
Molly Presnell notched her second straight double-double with a team-high 11 kills to go along with 21 digs. She additionally rated third on the team with four total blocks, while her 21 digs were second on the squad on Saturday.

Fellow junior
Shayla Libby guided the defense with 23 digs on the day, as a total of four Chargers recorded double-digit digs.

Sabrina Duncan posted a team-high 36 assists in addition to eight digs, four kills and three total blocks in the neutral meeting.

The Chargers accumulated 11 total blocks in the four-set match, which is the most by the team so far in the 2021 season.
Kendall Scharbert individually led the way in blocks with one solo and five block assists.

The opening set on Saturday was tightly contested all the way to the end, as the Chargers utilized a late four-point rally to tie the match at 23-23 before a two-point swing by the Tritons ended in a 25-23 win for UMSL.

UAH rebounded in the second set to win 25-21 after a 6-2 run to end the frame, but a come-from-behind 25-22 win in the third by UMSL gave the Tritons the lead. Missouri-St. Louis finished off the four-set victory with a 25-14 win in the third.

The Chargers look ahead to a nonconference matchup on Tuesday at 6 p.m. at Trevecca Nazarene.
