NASHVILLE, Tenn. | The University of Alabama in Huntsville volleyball team cruised to a 3-0 win (25-20, 25-14, 25-15) on the road at Trevecca Nazarene in nonconference action on Tuesday. UAH improves to 4-4, while TNU slips to 7-1.
 
Freshman 
Gracie McGee paced the Chargers offense with 10 kills on a .296 hitting percentage to go along with a team-high four service aces. McGee also had an impact defensively, rating second on the team with seven digs.
 
Molly Presnell and 
Kendall Scharbert also had strong attacking nights with eight and seven kills, respectively, as both players had hitting percentages of .300 or higher.
 
Defensively, 
Katie Sharp notched a roster-best 10 digs, while 
Zharia Hubbard paced the team with six total blocks which included two solo blocks.
 
UAH started out the first set on an 11-4 run on the way to the 25-20 win in the first, prior to cruising through a 25-14 drubbing of the Trojans in the second that included a match-best .286 hitting percentage by the Chargers.
 
The Blue & White again dominated in the ensuing set, capturing the three-set victory with a 25-15 win in the third stanza. UAH limited TNU to hitting percentages of .100 or lower in all three sets, including lower than -.100 in the second and third frames.
 
UAH looks ahead to a pair of nonconference matchups on the campus of fellow GSC member Lee, where the Chargers will take on King on Thursday at 6 p.m. and Young Harris on Friday at 1:30 p.m.
