CLEVELAND, Tenn. | The University of Alabama in Huntsville volleyball team capped off play at the Lee Invitational on Friday afternoon with a 3-0 victory (25-11, 25-22, 25-21) over Young Harris in the first-ever matchup between the two programs. UAH improves to 6-4, while YHC dips to 3-9.

A balanced attack by the Chargers had head coach
Jon Moseley with a total of six players accumulating four kills or more on Friday, led by freshman
Zharia Hubbard with a team-high six kills and a .600 hitting percentage.

UAH throttled Young Harris by a score of 25-11 in the first set to take an early lead in the contest as the Chargers swung a match-high .429 in the frame.

The Mountain Lions made a close run at the end of the second set with the Chargers edging out the win 25-21, prior to UAH's come-from-behind match-sealing 25-21 win in the third.

Gracie McGee and
Kendall Scharbert contributed five kills in the victory, with McGee ranking second on the team as well in digs with seven on the day.

Sabrina Duncan notched a strong all-around performance against the Mountain Lions with a team-best 25 assists to go along with seven digs, four kills and four service aces.

Shayla Libby paced the Chargers defense with eight digs, followed by Duncan and McGee with seven apiece.

The Chargers registered 11 service aces as a team, as Duncan and
Molly Presnell shared the team lead with four each in the match.

UAH looks ahead to the start of Gulf South Conference play next weekend, beginning on Friday at West Alabama at 6 p.m.
