HUNTSVILLE | The University of Alabama in Huntsville women's soccer team tied West Georgia by a score of 1-1 on Friday night at Charger Park in Gulf South Conference action. UAH moves to 3-6-5 (2-4-4 GSC), while UWG's record is now 5-5-4 (3-3-4 GSC).

West Georgia went ahead early in the contest on Friday night with a goal in the ninth minute by Catherine Reeves.

The Chargers took a 1-1 tie into halftime, as
Hayley Bedingfield sent in a loose ball in the box in the 39th minute off a free kick by
Maialen Mera Torres.

Bedingfield's goal was her first of the season and the second of her career, while Mera Torres collects her second assist of the season on the goal. Â

Both sides would go scoreless in the second half to end the game at 1-1, with the Chargers defense highlighted by five of
Adriana Wright's eight saves on the night.

Wright has now posted eight or more saves in a match two times this season, while playing the full 90 minutes on seven occasions.

UAH recorded three shots on goal in the contest, led by Bedingfield with two shots on target. The Chargers additionally generated two corner kick opportunities against the Wolves.
