HUNTSVILLE | The University of Alabama in Huntsville men's soccer team dropped Sunday's Gulf South Conference matchup to Christian Brothers by a final score of 2-1 at Charger Park. UAH slides to 1-8-2 (1-5-1 GSC), while CBU improves to 6-2-3 (3-2-2 GSC).
 
UAH went ahead first in the contest with a 28th-minute tally from 
Michael Weston for his first goal of the season, as he banged home a rebound off a shot off the cross bar by 
Colby Nesbit.
 
Nesbit notched his first assist of the season on the goal.
 
The Chargers hung onto the 1-0 advantage until the Buccaneers struck twice late in the second half with markers by Eduardo Bengoa in the 77th minute and Alvaro Martinez in the 81st minute.
 
CBU went on to win the contest 2-1 with a scoreless nine minutes to round out the match.
 
The Chargers generated 13 total shots in the contest with three shots on goal, with Weston, 
Malek Elbendary and 
Charlie Garrison each recording one shot on target.
 
Three UAH field players were on the pitch for the full 90 minutes, including Nesbit, 
Jose Bannwart and Bailey Mormon.
 
Robert Bailey picked up five saves in 90 minutes in goal for the Chargers, while allowing two goals.
 
UAH hits the road next weekend with in-state matches at Montevallo on Friday and Auburn Montgomery on Sunday.
