VALDOSTA, Ga. | The University of Alabama in Huntsville volleyball team fell at Valdosta State by a score of 3-0 (14-25, 16-25, 20-25) on Friday evening in Gulf South Conference action. UAH slips to 10-14 (4-6 GSC), while VSU improves to 9-17 (3-7 GSC).
 
Four Chargers notched five kills or more against the Blazers, led by freshman 
Kaila Sisk with six kills on a team-high .500 hitting percentage.
 
Kiara Hill, 
Caroline Moyer, and 
Zoe Smith additionally had five kills apiece to rate tied for second.
 
Defensively, 
Tatiana Bonilla paced the squad with 14 digs, followed by 
Gracie McGee with nine scoops and 
Hailey Holshouser with seven.
 
Savannah Rutledge guided the Chargers offense with 11 assists to go along with a team-leading three service aces.
 
Valdosta State quickly built up a strong lead in the beginning of the first set on the way to its 25-14 opening-set win, which the Blazers followed up with a 25-16 win in the second for a 2-0 lead.
 
The Chargers were edged in the final frame 25-20 by the Blazers, as VSU took the Friday matchup by a 3-0 score.
 
UAH is back in action at West Georgia on Saturday with a 1 p.m. first serve.
