MONTEVALLO, Ala. | The University of Alabama in Huntsville women's soccer team started off the weekend road swing with a 1-1 tie at Montevallo on Friday night in Gulf South Conference action. UAH moves to 3-6-3 (2-4-2 GSC), while UM now has an overall record of 9-2-1 (5-2-1 GSC).

The Falcons took the first lead of Friday night's contest early into the opening half with a ninth-minute goal by Espy Sanchez.

UAH rebounded quickly into the second half as
Carmen Endicott struck for her fourth goal of the season in the 48th minute off an assist by
Maialen Mera Torres.
Â
Endicott now leads the Chargers with four goals, while Mera Torres collects her first assist of the season.

Both sides would go scoreless for the rest of the second half to bring the game to its 1-1 final score.

Adriana Wright had a stellar performance in goal for the Chargers with seven saves and one goal allowed, while helping navigate both of Montevallo's corner kick opportunities.

Wright has posted seven or more saves in three GSC matches this season, as she now ranks fourth in the conference with 42 saves this season.

UAH generated 11 total shots in the contest with five going on goal, led by
Helena Gonzalez and Endicott with two apiece.

The Chargers return to action on Sunday for a 1 p.m. matchup at Auburn Montgomery.
