MONTEVALLO, Ala. | The University of Alabama in Huntsville women's basketball dropped its weekend road contest to Montevallo by a final score of 74-48 on Saturday afternoon. UAH dips to 1-4 (1-1 GSC), while UM improves to 1-6 (1-2 GSC).

Andie Flatgard led the Chargers in the conference matchup on Saturday with a team-high 11 points in 30 minutes on the floor, as she went 4-for-8 from the field including 3-for-6 from beyond the arc in the contest.

Olivia Howard rated second on the UAH roster with seven points, while
Haley Nichols grabbed a team-best eight rebounds, and she was the Chargers most successful player from the charity stripe going 3-of-4 on free throws.

UAH scored the first point of the game, but a low-scoring opening quarter for both sides would see UM end the frame with a 10-9 advantage. The Falcons pushed their lead to 35-17 at the half by outpacing UAH 25-8 in the second quarter.

Montevallo added four more points to their advantage in the third quarter and edged the Chargers in the fourth quarter 22-18 to bring the game to a 74-48 final in favor of the Falcons.

UAH is back in action on Monday with a road matchup at West Alabama at 5:00 p.m.
