HUNTSVILLE | The University of Alabama in Huntsville women's basketball team wrapped up the 2021-22 campaign on Senior Day on Saturday afternoon at Kelly Court at Spragins Hall with a 61-55 loss to Delta State in Gulf South Conference action. UAH dips to 7-17 (6-13 GSC), while DSU improves to 13-12 (11-9 GSC).

Holly Harris guided the Chargers offense against the Statesmen with a team-high 14 points and three assists in addition to three rebounds in the contest.

Fellow senior
Selena Pruitt joined Harris in double-digit scoring with 11 points as she also added five rebounds, two assists and a roster-best two strals.

Miajah Bullock and
Adrian Grant tied for the team lead on the boards with six rebounds apiece, followed by Pruitt and Alexa Woods who both had five rebounds.

Grant additionally tied for the team lead in assists with Harris with three helpers against DSU.

Both team's offenses started out the gate strong with 17 points apiece by the Chargers and Statesmen in the initial 10 minutes of play.

Delta State would take a 34-26 lead into halftime after outpacing the Chargers 17-9 in the second period.

The Chargers defense kicked into high gear in the third period, limiting the visitors to merely six points while scoring 11 of their own to slim the deficit to 40-37 entering the fourth.

DSU went on to outscore UAH 21-18 in the fourth quarter to bring the game to its final score of 61-55 in favor of Delta State.
