Box Score WINTER PARK, Fla. | The University of Alabama in Huntsville women's lacrosse team fought hard from start to finish before dropping a regional road contest against No. 8 Rollins, falling 11-8. The Chargers slip to 3-4 on the season, while the Tars improve to 6-0.

Katie Williams led the goal scoring efforts for UAH on the afternoon, tallying three goals, while
Isadora Springer registered a team-high four points with two goals and a pair of assists in the contest.

Shaina Doser and
Darby Smith each picked up a team-high three ground balls and Doser also made 6 saves in goal for UAH.

Facing their fourth nationally ranked opponent this season, the Chargers commanded the game's opening frame as
Hailey Gallant put the Chargers on the board and into the lead just 45 seconds into the contest. Gallant would add another after a Williams tally, and Springer would score her first of the day and the fourth for UAH to put the Chargers in front 4-1 at the end of the first quarter. A pair of goals from each side in the second stanza would keep the visitors in the lead, sitting in front 6-3 at the halftime break.

The Tars would use a third period where they held the Chargers scoreless while putting up four goals of their own to take the lead at 7-6, on their way to securing the 11-8 victory.

UAH controlled 11 draws opposed to Rollins eight, while the Tars won the ground ball category by a 21-15 margin.

The Chargers will now look ahead to Wednesday when the team travels to Daytona Beach, Fla. to take on Embry-Riddle. Embry-Riddle currently ranks 17
th in the ILWomen/IWLCA Divison II poll.
