Five runs scored by the visitors in the fifth and sixth innings proved to be the difference in the opener as the Falcons outhit UAH by a 13-8 margin.
Â
Shelby Booker and
Kaylee Vaught were both 2-for-4 with a double in the contest, with Booker scoring twice and Vaught also crossing the plate, and

Â

Â
Akles started the scoring with the two-run shot down the left field line in the bottom of the first, and after the Falcons got a run in the top of the second, it would stay 2-1 until the fifth inning when Montevallo scored three times to go in front 4-2.
Â
The guests then added to their lead with two runs in the sixth, though Hampton and Hayes would both draw bases-loaded walks in the home half of the sixth to make it a 6-4 game.
Â
Hampton would take another free pass with the bags packed in the seventh, but Montevallo would wiggle out of the bases-loaded jam to secure the 6-5 win.
Â

UAH would outhit the Falcons by an 11-9 margin in the second game, but eight left on base proved to be too much for the Chargers.

Â
Booker also added a double.
Â
Grace O'Berry started the contest in the circle and took the setback.
Â
The Falcons took a 5-0 lead after scoring a pair in the second and three more in the fourth before Hampton had a solo shot down the line in left to make it 5-1 after four.
Â
The guests then tacked on three more, and it would stay 8-1 until Akles drove in one and Hampton knocked in a pair in the seventh to create the 8-4 final.
