NASHVILLE, Tenn. | The University of Alabama in Huntsville men's soccer team fell to Trevecca Nazarene on the road by a final score of 2-0 to start the 2022 season on Thursday night. UAH slips to 0-1-0, while TNU rises to 1-0-0.

The Chargers held the edge in shots on goal against the Trojans by a 9-4 margin, led by
Shalev Keter and
Xavier Martin each with two shots on target. UAH would additionally generate seven corner kicks to TNU's four.

Overall, seven different UAH players notched at least one shot on goal in the season-opener.

Giancarlo Martinez played the full 90 minutes in goal for the Blue & White, notching one save against Trevecca Nazarene on Thursday night.

The Trojans took the lead in the 35th minute on Marlon Grossman's first goal of the game as the hosts would own a 1-0 advantage at the half.

TNU added to its advantage quickly into the second half in the 48th minute by Grossman again, and both teams would go scoreless for the remainder of the contest to make it a 2-0 final in favor of the Trojans.

UAH looks ahead to its first home contest of the campaign on Sunday at 2 p.m. against visiting North Georgia in a nonconference tilt.
