HUNTSVILLE | The University of Alabama in Huntsville women's soccer team started off the 2022 campaign with a 2-2 tie against visiting Trevecca Nazarene on Thursday evening at Charger Park. Both teams move to 0-0-1 with the draw to start the season.

Carmen Endicott highlighted the Chargers performance on Thursday, as she scored both of the Blue & White's goals for the first two-goal showing of her collegiate career.

Adriana Wright played the full 90 minutes in goal for UAH, posting five saves and navigating six corner kicks by the Trojans.

Trevecca Nazarene started off in front on Thursday with a goal in the 20th minute by Makena Shlosser, which was followed up by Gigi Ariola's 29th-minute tally to give the Trojans a two-goal advantage.

The Chargers slimmed the deficit to 2-1 in the 35th minute of the contest on Endicott's first goal of the game, as she buried a pass from the left side of the goal from
Caroline Buchanan. Buchanan was credited with her first assist of the season and seventh of her career.

The second half of the contest was tightly contested with the game still 2-1 entering the final two minutes, until Endicott tied it up in the 89th minute after she sent home a loose ball in front of the net off a corner kick.

Both teams would go scoreless to finish off the contest as a 2-2 tie.

The Chargers ended the game with 13 shots overall and seven shots on goal, led by Buchanan's three shots on target.

UAH is back in action next Thursday with the first road game of the season at Tampa.
