HUNTSVILLE | The University of Alabama in Huntsville volleyball team fell to Mississippi College 3-1 (25-22, 21-25, 23-25, 25-21, 13-15) in Gulf South Conference action on Saturday afternoon at Kelly Court at Spragins Hall. UAH slides to 5-8 (1-1 GSC), while MC improves to 12-1 (1-1 GSC).
 
Paris Morris had a strong all-around performance in the Saturday matchup, as she generated a team-high 17 kills and .417 hitting percentage to go along with six total blocks.
 
Gracie McGee rated second on the roster with 15 kills while notching a double-double with 11 digs on the defensive end.
 
Colby Charland notched her fourth consecutive double-double with a team-high 39 assists in addition to 17 digs on Saturday. Her 17 digs were second most on the squad, with Shayla Libby leading the way with 24 digs over five sets.
 
The Chargers opened up the contest with a 25-22 win in the first set, as UAH outpaced MC 9-6 after being tied 16-16 midway through the frame.
 
Mississippi College took control of the second set late to take the stanza 25-21, before the Choctaws notched a come-from-behind 25-23 win in the third to take a 2-1 match lead.
 
The Blue & White forced a fifth set with a 25-21 win in the fourth as the Chargers trailed only once during the frame, prior to MC edging out a 15-13 win in the fifth to seal the Choctaws five-set win.
 
UAH heads back out on the road next weekend with matches at Lee on Friday and Montevallo on Saturday.
