HUNTSVILLE | The University of Alabama in Huntsville women's basketball team returns home for two matchups at Kelly Court at Spragins Hall this week with visits from Montevallo on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. and West Alabama on Saturday at 2 p.m.

The Chargers will be honoring the nation's heroes on Saturday as part of Military Appreciation Day at Spragins Hall, presented by AUSA and Lockheed.

UAH enters the homestand with a 3-14 overall record and a 3-10 mark in Gulf South Conference play this season, after most recently falling narrowly to Auburn Montgomery on the road on Saturday.
Alaina Taylor led the Chargers on Saturday with a career-high 20 points.

Haley Nichols continues to be the Chargers top performer in the 2022-23 campaign as she leads the roster with 11.6 points per game and 7.3 rebounds per game. Her 7.3 rebounding average rates seventh in the GSC, while her 11.6 points per game rank in the top 15 of the league.

Andie Flatgard and
Madie Krieger have seen the most action on the court for UAH this season at 35.1 minutes per game and 32.9 minutes per game, respectively. Flatgard additionally ranks second on the team with a scoring average of 8.6 points, with UAH averaging 55.6 points per game as a team.

Montevallo starts out the week's slate with a 7-11 overall and a 7-7 mark in GSC games, as the Falcons most recently topped West Georgia at home on Saturday 57-50. Marisa Snodgrass leads UM's offense with 11.7 points per game, with Montevallo averaging 63.9 points per contest overall.

West Alabama is currently 9-8 overall on the season and 6-7 within the GSC, following a 52-47 loss at home to Montevallo on Saturday. Bria Dent guides the Tigers with 11.5 points per game, as UWA averages 60.8 points per contest as a team.

UAH holds all-time series records of 38-34 against Montevallo and 34-39 against West Alabama.
