CLEVELAND, Tenn. | The University of Alabama in Huntsville men's basketball team won 61-55 on the road at Lee on Saturday afternoon in Gulf South Conference action. UAH improves to 16-6 (11-5 GSC), while LU slides to 13-5 (12-5 GSC).

Max Shulman led the Chargers with a double-double in the contest with 15 points and a team-high 12 rebounds across a roster-leading 39 minutes on the floor. This was Shulman's first double-double in 2022-23.

Sophomore
Chaney Johnson generated a team-best 17 points to go along with nine rebounds on 7-of-14 shooting from the floor. Fellow sophomore
Luke Burnett rated third on the team with eight points.

Johnson has now scored 10 points or more in five consecutive games.

The Chargers shot 40.0 percent (22-55) from the field for contest overall, while limiting the Flames to 35.7 percent (20-56) on field goals.

UAH additionally held the edge over Lee in rebounds (41-28), bench points (13-2), steals (7-5), points in the pain (30-18) and second-chance points (13-7).

The Chargers return to action with two home games at Spragins Hall next week, beginning Thursday at 7:30 p.m. against Delta State.
