CLEVELAND, Tenn. | The University of Alabama in Huntsville women's basketball team dropped Saturday's matchup at No. 21 Lee by a final score of 72-62 in Gulf South Conference action. UAH slips to 5-16 (5-12 GSC), while LU improves to 17-4 (15-2 GSC).

Reigning GSC Freshman of the Week
Bellah Machen posted a team-high 16 points on 6-of-9 shooting from the floor that included a 2-for-4 mark on three-pointers.

Haley Nichols recorded her second double-double of the weekend and sixth of the season with a 13-point, 10-rebound performance. Her 10 rebounds were a team-high, and she has now recorded 10 or more points in six consecutive games.

Alaina Taylor tied with Nichols for second on the squad with 13 points, as she went 4-for-6 from the floor and 3-for-4 from beyond the arc. Taylor has registered 12 points or more in five of the past six games.

Overall in the contest, UAH shot 42.9 percent from the floor (21-49) that included an 8-for-24 mark on three-pointers.

UAH held the edge over Lee in rebounds (29-28), with six Chargers pulling down two boards or more.

The Chargers are back in action with two home games next week with visits to Spragins Hall by Delta State on Thursday and Mississippi College on Saturday.
