PENSACOLA, Fla. | The University of Alabama in Huntsville women's basketball team fell at West Florida by a final score of 69-54 on Saturday afternoon in Gulf South Conference action. UAH slides to 3-13 (3-9 GSC), while UWF improves to 9-5 (9-3 GSC).

Jesse Jennings guided the Chargers offense in Saturday's contest with a team-high 16 points as she went 4-for-8 from the field and 8-for-8 on free throws. Jennings additionally led the team with five rebounds.

Two more UAH players reached double-digit points at West Florida, including
Alaina Taylor with 12 and
Haley Nichols with 11. Both Taylor and Nichols also added four rebounds.

Freshman
Madie Krieger played a team-high 31 minutes and dished out a roster-best three assists.

The Chargers trailed by six early in the first quarter, but the squad rebounded to outscore the Argonauts 9-6 over the final 6:31 to cut deficit to 12-9.

UAH pulled ahead by a score of 24-23 with 2:52 remaining in the second quarter on a three-pointer by
Alaina Taylor. However, West Florida responded with an 8-0 run to close out the frame for a 31-24 lead at halftime.

A fast-paced third quarter saw the Chargers outscore the Argos 20-19 to cut the deficit to 50-44 entering the fourth quarter, where West Florida hung on to win 69-54 on Saturday.
