Volleyball Set to Host Pair of GSC Foes This Weekend

HUNTSVILLE | The UAH volleyball team welcomes a pair of Gulf South Conference opponents this weekend as they host Christian Brothers on Friday at 6 p.m. and Union on Saturday at 2 p.m at Kelly Court in Spragins Hall.  

The Chargers currently sit in a tie for second place in the GSC and have not dropped a match at home this year, with a 6-0 record in Huntsville. 

This season, two UAH players rank in the top five of the conference in blocks per set as Mary Grace Bundrant is first with 1.18 blocks per set and Kiara Hill ranks fifth (0.95).

Savannah Rutledge leads the GSC with 9.29 assists per set this year, with the next highest total being 7.73. 

Christian Brothers visits Huntsville holding a 2-17 (1-6 GSC) overall record for the season. The Bucs are coming off an 0-3 week as they dropped matches to Valdosta State, West Georgia, and Henderson State last week.

Union comes in with a 3-16 (2-5 GSC) overall record and dropped a pair of matches to West Georgia and Valdosta State last weekend, both in three sets. 

Following the weekend, the Chargers will travel to Orlando to compete in the South Region Crossover next week.
