HUNTSVILLE | The University of Alabama in Huntsville men's soccer team orchestrated a 1-0 victory over Delta State on Friday night, to remain unbeaten in Gulf South Conference play. The Chargers improve to 5-2-5 (3-0-4 GSC) while DSU slips to 2-7-2 (0-4-2 GSC).

UAH stands as one of three teams to remain unbeaten in conference play this season.

Although the two sides combined for five shots on goal throughout the first half, and UAH created three corner kick opportunities, the end of the first half would see the teams head into the halftime break level at 0-0.

The game would remain scoreless all the way until the 83
rd minute when Rafa Vega headed home a cross from
Michael Weston to propel the hosts to a 1-0 victory over the Statesmen.

Ethan Haworth, who has played all 1080 minutes in goal for UAH on the season, collected his fifth shutout on the year in the win.

The Chargers generated 10 shots with five on target and were able to create four corner kick opportunities throughout the match.
