HUNTSVILLE | In a closely contested match, the UAH men's soccer team dropped a 3-1 result against West Alabama Friday night. The Chargers move to 5-4-5 (3-2-4 GSC) while UWA improves to 8-2-4 (6-1-3 GSC).

The game started with a quick exchange of goals, as Rafa Vega found the back of the net at the 18:08 mark, only for Adrian Evrard from West Alabama to respond just over a minute later, leveling the score at 1-1.

The Tigers would break the deadlock in the second half, scoring two more goals to secure the 3-1 victory.

Each side generated 11 shots with the Chargers logging five shots on target compared to four for UWA. UAH created five corner kick opportunities opposed to three from the visitors.

UAH turns its focus to next weekend, traveling to Mobile, Alabama to take on Spring Hill on Friday afternoon before a meeting with West Florida on Sunday, Oct. 29 for the regular season finale.
