Box Score MOBILE, Ala. | The UAH men's soccer team secured a berth to the 2023 Gulf South Conference Championships with a 5-1 victory at Spring Hill on Friday afternoon. UAH improves to 6-4-5 (4-2-4 GSC), while SHC slides to 4-11-2 (3-7-1 GSC).

This is the UAH men's soccer program's first berth to the GSC tournament since 2019, as the Chargers look ahead to a first-round matchup on Sunday, Nov. 5. GSC tournament quarterfinal matches will be hosted by the top four teams in the league's regular season standings.

Four different Chargers scored in the afternoon victory for the Blue & White, including Olli Orzechowski in the fourth minute,
Colby Nesbit in the 53rd,
Michael Weston in the 73rd,
Harvey Hewson in the 80th and Orzechowski again in the 85th. This is the first time UAH has scored five goals in a game in the 2023 season.

Nesbit, Orzechoswski and Weston each notched their first goals of the season in the victory, while Hewson potted his second marker of the year. Orzechowski is the second UAH player to score two goals in the game this season.

Kieran Rowe registered his first career two-assist performance, helping on Orzechowski's and Weston's tallies.
Jose Bannwart and
Andreas Tsimon each recorded assists on Orzechowski's second goal and Hewson's goal, respectively.

A total of 12 Chargers have now scored at least one goal this season.

Ethan Haworth played the full time in goal for UAH with three saves and one goal allowed. He also navigated four corner kicks by Spring Hill, while holding the Badgers scoreless for the last 85 minutes of play.
