BIRMINGHAM – Four members of the University of Alabama in Huntsville men's soccer team have been named as members of the All-Gulf South Conference team, the league announced Monday as part of its 2026 men's soccer yearly awards.
Midfielder Donovan Pruitte and forward Oli Orzechowski were both named First Team All-GSC while defenders Ollie Rigby and Wesley Atoyebi were both named Second Team All-GSC.
A two-time GSC weekly Player of the Week honoree, Orzechowski led the Chargers and was third in the GSC in goals in 2026 with 11 while on 62 shot attempts and 35 shots on goal with the fourth best shot accuracy in the conference at 56.5% and a league-high 2.33 shots on goal per game. He also scored four game-winning goals on the season, best for second in the GSC. The senior also added three assists through the season after being a second team selection in 2025 and 2024.
Another senior, Pruitte was second on the team with four goals on 25 shot attempts and 11 shots on goal. He had a career game in a 4-0 win against Spring Hill with three goals, including the game-winner. The midfielder also added two more assists through the season, helping ensure a third-best points per game in the conference with 5.93.
The third senior honored, Atoyebi notched a team-high and the fourth highest mark in the GSC with six assists while adding eight shots and three shots on goal for the Chargers. The defender had the fourth-best mark in assists per game in the GSC with 0.40.
A freshman, Rigby scored three goals for UAH as a defender on just seven shots and five shots on goal. He also scored the game-winner in a 2-1 win at West Alabama. Rigby also helped the defense to the conference's fourth-best team goals against average at 1.0 and shutout percentage at 40%.
