HUNTSVILLE | The UAH volleyball team took their home court for the final time this regular season on Friday night as they defeated their seventh straight Gulf South Conference opponent Montevallo 3-0 (25-16, 25-18, 25-22).

The Chargers improved to 16-8 (12-2 GSC) with the victory as the Falcons fell to 11-16 (9-5 GSC). The win is the fourteenth consecutive home win for UAH and secures a top-two seed in the GSC Championship.

Caroline Moyer highlighted the Charger offense for the evening, slamming 13 kills with a .407 attack percentage. The sophomore notched 11 kills in the first set of the match, a season-high single set total.

Kiara Hill had a stellar game in her final regular season contest in Spragins Hall, notching eight kills at a .571 percentage, along with six blocks toward the winning effort.

The Chargers posted 11 blocks in the match, with Hill leading the way while GSC leader Mary Grace Bundrant also had five denials for UAH.

Savannah Rutledge had 38 assists, four digs, an ace, and a kill for the Chargers in the sweep.

The Chargers head on the road next weekend as they will face off with Valdosta State and West Georgia to wrap up the regular season.
