HUNTSVILLE | The University of Alabama in Huntsville women's lacrosse team picked up its first win of the 2023 season on Wednesday afternoon by a final score of 11-10 over Rhodes College in nonconference action. UAH improves to 1-2, while the Lynx begin the season at 0-1.

Isadora Springer and
Chloe Wood each recorded a roster-best three goals in the contest and Springer also added one assist for a four-point afternoon. The three ground balls picked up by Wood were the most for the Chargers.

Katie Gerber and Ryleigh Casserly each scored twice in the game and defender
Cameron Crews rounded out the goal scorers for the Chargers with her first career collegiate goal.

The UAH defense generated 11 caused turnovers against Rhodes.

Tori Ryan featured in goal for the Chargers, notching 10 saves in the win which marks a career-high for the junior.

The Chargers are back in action on Saturday to take on Tusculum at 3 p.m. at Charger Park.
