HUNTSVILLE | The University of Alabama in Huntsville baseball team started off the week's slate with a 13-6 victory over Trevecca Nazarene on Wednesday at Charger Park in nonconference action. UAH improves to 7-5, while TNU slides to 0-7.

Landon Ezzell had a stellar offensive performance with the Chargers, as he went 4-for-5 with two runs, seven RBI, one double and one home run. Ezzell's home run – a three-run shot – put UAH ahead for good in the bottom of the fifth, and he now has three home runs this season.

The Chargers recorded 14 base hits as a team, guided by Ezzell's four-hit game with
Garrett Bodine,
Colin Brewer,
Brennan Vasquez and
Dylan Johnston each registering two hits in the win. Both Brewer and Vaquez had a solo shot and a double in the contest to give UAH six extra-base hits total against the Trojans.

Landon Singley started for the Chargers, turning in 2.0 innings with two runs allowed and a team-high three strikeouts for a no-decision.

Ben Capps picked up the win in relief to improve to 1-0, after tossing a scoreless fifth inning with one strikeout.
Cory Hagood (2.0 IP) and
Trey Wright (1.0 IP) also had scoreless appearances out of the bullpen in the win.

UAH is back in action with a four-game series on Friday and Saturday at Charger Park against visiting Missouri S&T. Both doubleheaders are slated to start at 12 p.m.
