HUNTSVILLE | The University of Alabama in Huntsville baseball team completed a three-game sweep at Charger Park against visiting Gulf South Conference foe West Florida on Saturday afternoon. UAH moves to 12-11 overall and 5-4 in GSC play, while the Argos dropped to 11-8 overall with a 3-6 GSC record.

UAH plays host to Miles for its next action on Wednesday. First pitch is set for 1 p.m.

UAH 5, UWF 4
After UWF jumped out to an early 4-0 lead, the Chargers stormed back in game one of Saturday's doubleheader with some late-inning heroics, starting with a hit-by-pitch RBI from
Carson Villalta in the seventh inning and then again with a four-run rally with two outs in the eighth inning. The rally was highlighted by a two-RBI single through the left side by
Garrett Bodine.
UAH padded the hit column in game one with 12 hits, including three hits from
Mitchell Rottier, and two hits apiece from
Dylan Johnston, Bodine, and Villalta. Bodine and Villalta each drove in two RBI for the game to lead the Chargers.Â
Following a six inning outing from
Andre Orselli, a trio of relief pitchers,
Ben Capps,
Will Griffith, and
Will Hotalen came together to throw three scoreless innings to close out the game for UAH. Griffith earned the win for the Chargers, while Hotalen recorded his first save of the season, striking out one in the top of the ninth.

UAH 7, UWFÂ 4
Game two looked eerily similar to the beginning of game one as the Argos took off to a 3-0 lead in the first inning before shrinking and ultimately falling in the fourth inning when UAH took the lead for good at 5-4.Â
Villalta once again led the way offensively for the Chargers with a 2-for-2 performance and four RBI for the game, increasing his total to 10 RBI for the series.
Landon Ezzell drove in two RBI in a 2-for-4 showing with a pair of RBI singles, and
Brennan Vasquez made up the final RBI of the game for UAH while compiling two hits in three at-bats.
On the mound,
Trey Wright earned his second win of the season in a three inning relief appearance, allowing one earned run.
Cory Hagood threw one scoreless inning in relief, while Hotalen grabbed his second save of the series in an extended 1.2 innings appearance.Â
The Chargers compiled nine hit-by-pitches in the series and drew 13 walks to aid their opportunities at the plate along with 32 hits across three games.
