HUNTSVILLE | The University of Alabama in Huntsville women's lacrosse team topped Missouri Western at Charger Park on a blustery Friday afternoon by a score of 17-15. UAH improves to 4-7, while MWSU slides to 5-4.

After trailing the Griffons by two after the first quarter, the Chargers outscored the visitors 15-11 in the ensuing three frames to earn the 17-15 win on Friday.

UAH's offense was guided by
Chloe Wood and Sara Cole as both put up a team-high four goals on Friday. Wood additionally led the squad with three draw controls, while also contributing three ground balls and one caused turnover.

Cameron Crews had a strong defensive performance on Friday with a team-high four caused turnovers, with UAH posting 14 caused turnovers as a team. Crews now has four caused turnovers in a game twice this season.

Riley Kirby helped the overall effort with a roster-best four ground balls, and she's now registered four or more ground balls twice in 2023.
