Chargers Outpace Montevallo to Remain Undefeated in Conference Play

MONTEVALLO, Ala. | The University of Alabama in Huntsville women's lacrosse team stayed undefeated in Gulf South Conference play on Thursday evening in a victory over Montevallo on the road. The Chargers improved to 7-7 overall and 3-0 in GSC play, while the Falcons fell to 5-8 on the season with a 0-3 GSC record. 

Seven UAH players notched goals in the game, with five scoring three or more goals. Chloe Wood led the way in goals for the Chargers, netting five on the night. 

Isadora Springer and Bryanna Hamblin contributed four goals each, while Katie Williams and Sarah Cole provided three apiece. Katie Gerber and Maya Bronson rounded out the UAH scoring, each scoring a goal, with Gerber dishing out four assists.

Shaina Dosier minded the net for the entirety of the contest and made four saves in the winning effort. The win marks her third in a row and improves her record as a starter to 3-4. 

The Chargers outshot Montevallo 35 to 17 and outpaced the Falcons in assists with an 11-to-4 margin in the category. 

UAH is set to travel to Rome, Georgia, for a road matchup against Shorter on Tuesday at 5 p.m.
